With 6 bedrooms, 6 baths, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, game room, 4 decks, 3 acres and a short walk to the lake, it is ideal for family reunions, retreats, weddings, social meetings and parties. The 18 rooms (actually 2 homes connected) overlook the beautiful landscaping, custom pool with a rock waterfall, Jacuzzi, forest and the lake. There is boating, skiing (snow and water), shopping, hunting, fishing, golfing, biking, quad trails and much more nearby. Bring your horses and enjoy the facilities on the property — or just relax on the quiet decks and observe the deer, eagles and beautiful Lake Shasta. Family activity options make this spot worth a two week trip! Rent ski or house boats at the local marinas a mile away; hike, mountain bike, quad or ride your horses on the numerous mountain trails in the national forest; kayak, sail, jet ski, river raft, fly fish, charter fishing boats and swim in warm Lake Shasta. We have wonderful places to visit close by: Turtle Bay Exploration Park and Museum with many things to explore; famous Sundial Bridge and the Sacramento River trails; Shasta Dam and Shasta Caverns are a marvel and fun to visit; kids really love WaterWorks Park and the snow at two breathtaking mountains — Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen (most times with snow through June); rock climbing at Castle Crags State Park; gold panning, whitewater rafting and much, much more. It's only 1½ hours away to ski or ice skate at Mount Shasta Ski Park; art galleries and two shopping malls are only 15 minutes away! Great golf courses are in the vicinity. You will find dancing and dining places within a mile and a full grocery store/deli is only five miles away. Shasta Lake has 380 miles of shoreline to explore and you can water ski for 7½ miles! There are 32 waterfalls in a 45-mile radius of the vacation house, including Burney Falls, called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by Theodore Roosevelt. Tour the wineries, now numbering over 20 from only 2 just five years ago. 90 minutes to Mt Shasta Ski Park: Large ski party in 2010? Drive a little, save a lot! Located 15 minutes from downtown Redding and 20 min from Redding Municipal Airport (RDD). About the house: Multiple families can enjoy the two kitchens, two fireplaces, recreation room, four decks, Jacuzzi and big pool with the waterfall overhead while swimming. This spacious vacation home has a different country motif in each room. There are two living rooms, two kitchens and two dining areas; one group is French and the other is African. Six bedrooms and seven bathrooms feature Egyptian, Chinese, American, Greek, African themes and the "ocean room" with waterbed. One living room has five couches, four with full-sized sleeper beds. Additional sleeping includes 25 new beds and futons in the six bedrooms (three of them pillow-top king size), two futons in each huge walk-in closet and six additional beds in the other rooms to sleep 40. The recreation room has a pool table and bumper pool, air hockey, Foosball, ping pong, darts and other games. All the rooms and patio have cable TV, stereo plus a selection of CDs and movies. There is parking for 22 cars and boats; RV hookups are available for an additional $25.00 per night. The house is set amid the Shasta National Forest on 3 fenced acres, ideal for horses or camping.

Check in time during the summer is 4pm and check out is 10am; the off season times are flexible as long as there is not another party arriving or departing on the same day.
